Kerri Coughran
Kerri began her musical studies in piano and voice as a young girl. The more she learned and gained confidence in herself, the more her love for singing and musical theater grew. In high school, she had roles in productions such as Les Misérables, Bye Bye Birdie, and Fiddler on the Roof under the direction of Paul and Dominee Kimball. She went on to study vocal performance through Delta College's applied music program. There, she studied voice under Dianne England, Timothy Swaim, and Dr. Scott Bowen. Through her years at Delta, Kerri worked and sang with many ensembles and had the opportunity to sing at the California State Capitol. In the last 15 years, in the Lodi Community, Kerri has directed youth show choirs, taught performing arts classes, directed musical productions for schools and churches, taught private lessons, and currently serves as a worship leader at her church.
For Kerri, teaching and being able to share with a student something she has loved her whole life has been the greatest joy. She loves getting to see firsthand a student leave a lesson with a little more knowledge, ability, and confidence than what they came in with!
When she is not teaching music, Kerri loves to spend time with her family by going on walks and playing board games.
