Jenny H. is a singing actress who teaches vocal performance. She loves to watch her students grow into confident musicians and performers. She firmly believes that music enriches education and life. For Jenny, the most fulfilling part of teaching comes when she observes a student’s passion kindle while absorbing a new concept and helping her students achieve their dreams. 

Jenny has performed in choirs who have premiered new pieces of music by artists such as Eric Whitacre and Imant Raminsh. She has toured with choirs to France, New York, and all around California. She performed in The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess in concert as a chorus member. She has performed in Andrea Bocelli’s opera chorus at the HP Pavilion three times. In school, Jenny performed roles such as Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors, Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof, Terza Damigella in Cavalli’s La Didone, Zweite Damen in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), The Abbess Usimbalda in R. Rodriguez’s Suor Isabella, Arnalta in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea. After earning her Bachelors of Music in vocal performance from SJSU, Jenny began performing in Opera San Jose’s productions as a chorus member, but soon had the opportunity to perform as a soloist, cover to named roles, and small character roles. Including being a soloist for Alma Deuscher’s Cinderella premier, soloist for Puccini’s La Boheme, the role Gabriella from Puccini’s Rondine, and most recently the role of Manuelita from Bizet’s Carmen. She worked with Lyric Theater of San Jose as Vipsania in Strauss II’s A Night in Venice. Jenny was a board member for Opera RAW, an opera collaborative for young singers. Jenny has also musically directed HS productions such as Legally Blonde the musical.
