Jacob Miller

With over 18 years of experience playing the saxophone, Jacob Miller is a dedicated and active figure in the Central Valley music scene. His passion for music and performance has taken him to prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, where he performed with the Stockton Concert Band twice, most recently in April 2024.

A proud member of the Stockton Concert Band for 17 years and the Lodi Community Band for 7 years, Jacob’s commitment to ensemble work reflects his love for collaboration and live performance. As a woodwind instructor, Jacob has spent five years teaching at Lodi High School and two years at Linden High School, where he continues to inspire and guide young musicians, helping them grow both technically and artistically.

Beyond performing and teaching, Jacob has served as the venue manager for the Lincoln High School Band Review and the Lodi Grape Bowl, running jazz venues and managing sound production.

When he’s not teaching or playing the saxophone, Jacob works as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer for organizations across California. Outside of music and tech, he enjoys cooking, repairing instruments, building models, and working on computers. He’s also a proud cat dad to three troublemaking tabbies: Yuma, Sitka, and Panini.
