Cello and String Ensembles

An Arizona native, Carol Ann has performed with the Arizona Opera, the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera, and the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. Upon moving to the Central Valley in 2013, she has enjoyed performing with a variety of ensembles including the Stockton Symphony, the Zion Chamber Orchestra, and Music with Strings Attached. She currently records collaborative projects as a studio musician for short films, commercials,  and local bands.

In addition to cello performance, Carol Ann has had a dual career in education and pedagogy. She loves sharing her passion for music with students of all ages and levels. Her teaching style is based on finding the positive aspects of the student’s playing and building upon those foundations. She focuses on building good habits that will enable the student to continue playing for a lifetime. Carol Ann is the conductor of the Sayla Community Orchestra that features students of all ages.

As artist director of Sayla Music Academy, Carol Ann has enriched the community with unique events that combine  theater arts, visual arts, and music performance. Such events as the Music is Art Show, which featured local artists that utilized musical instruments as their canvas, and dramatic reading of Edgar Allen Poe with the Changing Faces Theater Company, has pioneered a culture in Lodi that brings the community together through expression of the arts.
